André Rieu is a Dutch violinist, conductor, and composer from Maastricht. He has been called “the most popular classical music artist in the world.”
In this article, we will be exploring why André Rieu’s concerts are so successful. André Rieu was born on May 18, 1949 in Maastricht. His father is an orchestra conductor and his mother was a pianist, so music has always been present in André’s life.
When he came of age to play the violin it became apparent that he had talent from birth for stringed instruments which would not only be with him throughout his whole life but also spark curiosity into other musicians as well.
As time went by, André began touring internationally at a young age playing concerts all over Europe alongside some of the world’s most famous orchestras such as the London Philharmonic Orchestra and Vienna Symphony Orchestra being just two examples.
This early exposure helped establish himself among many musicians who were able to learn.
